The Site is a UK-based website and we take reasonable care to comply with the requirements of the UK Data Protection Act 1998 (‘the Act’) relating to the personal information you supply on the Site. However, as no data transmissions over the internet can be guaranteed to be one hundred percent secure, we cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information you transmit to us and you do so at your own risk.

Save as provided below, we will not sell, rent, distribute or disclose information about you as an individual or your personal usage of the Site (‘Information’) without your consent or unless required or permitted to do so by law. Mailing Lists

If you subscribe to one or more of our mailing lists for news releases and other information by agreeing to this on the submission form on the Site, which you will be asked to complete when asking us to pass your details to community lenders (‘Submission Form’), we may also ask you to answer various general questions about yourself. You will be asked to specify the areas in which you are interested so that we can tailor the information which we send to you to cover the new products and special offers which we believe you might be interested in.


If you likewise have subscribed to any mailing list and at any time you wish to stop receiving this or any other information you may have requested from us or any other lender, please get in touch using our contact us form.

Surveys and user groups

We always aim to improve the services we offer. As a result we occasionally canvass our customers using surveys. Participation in surveys is voluntary, and you are under no obligation to reply to any survey you might receive from us. Should you choose to do so, we will treat the information you provide with the same high standard of care as all other customer information.

Traffic Patterns/Site Statistics

We may monitor customer traffic patterns, Site usage and related Site information in order to optimise your use of the Site and we may give aggregated statistics to a reputable third-party, but these statistics will include no information personally identifying you.

If you do not wish us to do so, please indicate this on the Submission Form or, where the information has already been passed to a lender with your consent, by asking the lender that you no longer want to receive such information in accordance with their own policy.

We ensure that our suppliers protect your personal information as tightly as we do and that they provide an adequate level of protection for your rights as a data subject. This may involve transferring or selling your Information to other companies, inside or outside the EEA (European Economic Area).

Your information may also be transferred to another company in the event of the transfer of our assets to a third party. In that event, we will endeavour to ensure that your rights and freedoms in respect of the processing of your personal data are adequately and appropriately protected.

We shall retain your data for as long as reasonably necessary in order to process your application and pass details to community lenders and/or our partner StepChange Debt Charity. Other than for those purposes, we do not retain your data on our servers save for marketing and compliance purposes, as previously notified to you and where you have agreed we may do so (in the case of marketing). You have a right at any time to access details of the data (if any) which we may hold about you by contacting us using the Contact Us form. You may also ask us, using the same form, to rectify any data which we may hold about you, to erase it or to object to our further processing of it.

Your right to complain
